Beach Patrol...

Our mission is to keep our residents and visitors safe in the water, as well as on the beach. In addition they are also responsible for general housekeeping on the beach and making sure all beach regulations are enforced. Our Beach Patrol is co-ed and consists of 30 people. We have 28 guards, one first lieutenant and a captain.
The beach patrol coverage begins Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, Sunday & Monday) and then two more weekends thereafter, and every day through Labor Day and then two weekends after Labor Day.
Tryouts to qualify for the patrol begin on Sunday, May 28th, Memorial Day Weekend at 10:15A.M. Each year a number of guards return but we love to have rookies join us also. Since we are greatly family orientated we also encourage children of local residents to participate in order to make residency and traveling easier.
The minimum requirements are 16 years of age, a CPR/First Aid certificate and a doctors certificate of good health. Hourly wages start at $10.00 an hour with a 40 hour work week with 2 days off if possible. Please join our brigade, we love to have you and for the small ones we now also have a Junior Beach Patrol, they are the ones we are getting ready for the future.
